Hello, readers! At the end of July, I finally decided to dive back in to the world of Lara Jean Song Covey. I can’t express how much I love these books! I talk about them every chance I get. I immediately started the last book and finished it in a couple of days. I almost did a joint review post for them, but I did not love P.S. I Still Love You as much, so I wanted to review them separately.

Plot

Review
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before left off with Lara Jean and Peter’s future very much in the air, as Lara Jean sits down to write another love letter on the final page of the book. This book picks up where the first book left off. It is still Christmas break, and Lara Jean and Peter are in limbo and Margot is home from college. No shocker here, but Lara Jean and Peter patch things up pretty early on and all seems well.
Margot is hounding Lara Jean about volunteering at the senior center she volunteered at in college. Lara Jean starts working there, and those chapters were a bit boring for me at first. I did guess how it would all tie in later on, but at first I was really worried I was not going to like this book because of these chapters.
Lara Jean begins receiving letters of her own from John Ambrose Mcclaren, while Peter is hanging out with his ex girlfriend, Genevieve. So obviously we have a weird love rectangle thing going on. Lara Jean is jealous and does not fully trust Peter and Genevieve’s relationship (neither did I!), and Peter is not thrilled that Lara Jean is writing letters and eventually hanging out with John Ambrose.
The conclusion left me feeling weirdly satisfied. I won’t spoil who Lara Jean ends up with, but I would have been happy either way I think.
Final Thoughts
This book was definitely the weaker of the trilogy because we get yet another love triangle situation. I also thought the Genevieve situation was a bit “been there, done that.” I was not happy to see her make so many appearances in this book.
Overall, I rated this book 4.5 stars instead of 5 stars just because there was really nothing new happening in P.S. I Still Love You. But Jenny Han has created such wonderful characters and has such an effortless writing style, that I was willing to overlook the recycled plot points and immediately pick up the final book in the trilogy.

This series is so good! I wish she would write more books ???? The end of the series is satisfying, but I would love to read about Lara Jean in college.
