Aardvark Book Club Predictions for October 2026
Life Update: If you find this list a bit shorter or missing some new releases, please keep in mind I am taking a short break from content as my family grows by one this fall! This list was completed in July 2026, so publisher dates may have been changed since the writing of this post.
October feels like a particularly interesting month for Aardvark Book Club because there are so many books that can fit the spooky season without being straight-up horror.
Aardvark has plenty of room to surprise us with something strange, atmospheric, unsettling, or just a little outside the usual categories. I’m keeping an eye on the October releases that have that Aardvark feel, especially the books that blur the lines between literary fiction, horror, fantasy, and thriller.
Here are the titles I think could make the October 2026 box.
